Find answers to common questions about the EB-5 program and our services.
The EB-5 program was created by Congress in 1990 to stimulate the U.S. economy through foreign investment and job creation. It grants lawful permanent residency (a green card) to qualifying foreign nationals who invest a minimum capital amount — currently $800,000 in a Targeted Employment Area (TEA) or $1,050,000 in a non-TEA — in a USCIS-approved project that creates at least 10 full-time U.S. jobs.
Processing times vary by country of birth due to visa retrogression. Investors born in mainland China, India, and Vietnam typically face longer waits due to high demand for EB-5 visas. Most other nationalities can anticipate an I-526E approval and consular processing within 18–30 months. We provide a realistic timeline assessment tailored to your nationality and investment structure during the initial consultation.
A USCIS-designated Regional Center is an entity authorized to pool EB-5 capital for economic development projects. Investing through a Regional Center allows job creation to be measured indirectly — meaning your investment can support a broader range of positions, not just direct employees. Most professional EB-5 advisors recommend the Regional Center pathway for its greater flexibility, broader project selection, and reduced administrative burden on the investor.
